How can we present long vocabulary lists in class? How can we find contexts for new words? Do you have a great idea on how to incorporate new vocabulary into a conversation class? Do you use an activity that combines both new words and grammar?
In five minutes, each presenter will share a classroom activity that they have developed to implement vocabulary items into their lesson plans. It is very hard to find time during a 50-minute period to practice long lists of words while covering all the other aspects of the foreign language. Most of the time, students have to memorize these words outside of the context. If you have used an activity to make this memorization easier or an activity to practice words in context, come share your idea with us on November 8.
